This time next week is… Christmas Eve!
Oh honestly – I can’t wait!
Are you ready, enjoying evenings with hot chocolate and Christmas tree lights in the background? Or maybe you’re still rushing around, finishing Christmas shopping?
I know it can be really busy now and it is not easy to find some quality time and…here I am with a Christmassy memory game you can enjoy with your little ones!
It’ll improve their brain functions like memory and concentration but also it’ll improve vocabulary which you can practice in any of your minority languages!
Just download it, print it out (and laminate if you can so it will last for longer), then cut out the cards.
Download it here:
In case you haven’t played it yet, here are some basic rules:
Mix and spread the cards picture-side-down. The player picks up one card and then tries to find a matching pair (encourage your little one to say what is on the picture in your minority language). If matching pair is found, then the player tries again until he/she misses.
If the cards are not identical, the two cards need to be turned picture-side-down again and in the same place and the next player takes a turn.
If all the pairs are collected, count up your pairs to see who is the winner (encourage the little one to count in your minority language). Enjoy!
